Brine

Our Story

We couldn’t find an electrolyte we trusted. So we made one.

Brine started in our kitchen — born out of frustration with an industry that hides behind proprietary blends and ingredient lists you need a chemistry degree to read.

The problem we kept running into

Every electrolyte we picked up had the same issues. “Proprietary blend” on the label — which is marketing speak for “we won’t tell you how much of each ingredient is actually in here.” Artificial flavors. Food dyes. Sweeteners we didn’t want. Ingredients that had nothing to do with hydration.

We just wanted the minerals our bodies actually need — sodium, potassium, magnesium — at doses that actually work, in a product with a label we could actually read. That product didn’t exist. So we made it.

Built by hand, from scratch

We started by researching what actually matters for hydration. Not what looks good on a label — what the science says about mineral absorption, bioavailability, and real-world performance.

The result: five ingredients. Pink Himalayan salt for sodium. Potassium chloride. Magnesium citrate — the bioavailable form, not the cheap oxide. Organic citric acid for tartness that helps absorption. Organic stevia for a touch of sweetness without calories or blood sugar impact.

Every batch is mixed by hand in small runs. We weigh each ingredient ourselves. No contract manufacturer, no mystery supply chain. Just us, a kitchen scale, and a commitment to getting this right.

What we believe

Every ingredient earns its place
If it doesn't serve hydration, it doesn't go in the pouch. Five ingredients, each with a clear purpose.
Nothing to hide
Every ingredient listed. Every dose disclosed. We'll never use the words "proprietary blend."
Made with care, not at scale
Hand-batched in small runs. We'd rather make less of something good than more of something average.

Where we are today

Brine is still early. We’re in the sample-and-feedback phase — sending pouches to friends, family, and anyone willing to try something different. Every piece of feedback shapes what comes next.

Two formulas: Daily for everyday hydration, and Endurance with organic coconut sugar for training days. Both $11, both 30 servings, both made with the same five-ingredient philosophy.

Try it yourself.

Five ingredients. Nothing to hide. Made by two people who actually drink the stuff.
